Established in 2008, Peace Stables is a dream come true for owner Holly Yelton Peace. From the age of 2, the obsession with all things horses was obvious. After continuous begging for lessons, Holly started riding at the age of 7 in Fresno, California. She moved to Peachtree City, Georgia in 1992 and began riding and training with Stephanie Free. Under Stephanie's supervision and guidance, Holly earned many championships. The highlights of her junior career include: qualifying for the AHSA National Pony Medal Finals; GHJA Year-End Championships and Reserve Championships in Large Pony Hunter, Schooling Pony Hunter, Children's Hunter, Open Hunter, and Equitation divisions; and numerous GHJA Pony and J.D. Pounds qualifications.
Holly's large pony, Answered Prayer ("Sebastian"), was her partner for almost 4 years. She sold him in 1996, and he taught many other junior riders over the last 15 years. Sebastian recently retired and came back to Holly, and he now lives a happy retired life on the green pastures of Peace Stables. Her most accomplished show mount, "Skip N' Free" helped Holly reach every goal in her riding career. She leased him during her college years, and finally resigned to selling him in 2002. She hopes he, too, comes back to her in retirement one day!
Holly lives with her husband Dana and two cats (Jackson and Brodie) on the farm and is the primary caretaker of all boarded horses. She is a 2000 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama (roll tide!). She works full-time at Alston & Bird, LLP (a law firm in Atlanta) as a legal secretary. In her 'spare time', she loves to play poker. She is a Christian and is an active member of Heritage Christian Church in Peachtree City, Georgia, where she teaches 4th grade Sunday school.
Her parents, Wayne & Linda Yelton (who made the path for her to obtain her dreams) also live on the farm. Wayne is the owner of Wayne's Painting and Linda is the Director of Heritage Christian Preschool. Her brother, Bryan McFadden lives in Sharpsburg and is a computer graphics whiz. Bryan's daughter Erin Bailey loves horses as much as her Aunt Holly, and is currently showing in the Short Stirrup division on her pony 'Ring Around the Rosie'.
